Learn how to make your own garden sculpture pieces out of clay, that you can then proudly display in your own garden!

The first week (3 classes) will be for making the pieces. They will then be slowly dried, then fired, and you’ll be back a few weeks later for 2 days to glaze the pieces in preparation for the final firing.

Maximum 5 people.

Week One: Monday to Wednesday, July 9, 10 & 11, 2-5pm each day
Week Two: Wednesday and Thursday , July 2 & 3, 2-5 pm each day.

All tools and glazes will be supplied. Class fee also includes one 10 kg bag of clay. Additional bags of clay can be purchased for $35 each (which includes the firing and glazes), but you will be able to make a totem with one bag. If you have your own favourite clay tools, feel free to bring them.

You will have a choice of 6 dipping glazes to finish your pieces. Glaze tiles are shown in the photos: soft white, denim blue, moss green, floating blue, weathered copper, metallic black. The first totem is glazed in moss green and the second - fourth is glazed in floating blue.

After the final firing, you will return to the studio to pick up your pieces. You will supply your own rebar (Can be found at Rona or Home Depot) to install the totem in your garden.
